We are looking to strengthen our Internal Sales Team to help with our increasing growth.

Job Title: Trainee
Sales Estimator.

Responsible for:
Sales & Estimating admin, proactive customer contact.

Reporting to: Sales Office Manager

Job Overview: A background in engineering will be useful, with the ability to read fabrication drawings, whilst possessing a range of knowledge to handle enquiries.

Longer term, you will meet with customers on & off-site as required, whilst seeking new opportunities.

You need be customer-focused as well as organised, methodical & pay attention to detail, actively seeking to maintain & build relationships with our existing & new customers alike.

You will be active in problem-solving & looking to improve systems & processes in a constantly evolving business.

You will ensure company quality systems are applied.

Other tasks include quotation follow-up, data collection, reporting, database maintenance, feedback.

You will be adaptable & flexible, punctual & reliable.

Competitive rates of pay. 24 days holiday, plus bank holidays.

Roles and Responsibilities:

SALES ADMIN:

  • Will be prepared & organised for meetings, actively taking part whilst minuting agreed actions.

  • Is capable of collating relevant data from the internal database to run daily reports.

  • Applies company Quality systems, particularly Contract Review.

  • Is well informed regarding services & capacities.

  • Possesses general engineering knowledge to read & understand engineering drawings


ESTIMATING ADMIN:

  • Fully understands all details on a customer enquiry before issuing a quotation.

  • Possesses a range of knowledge to handle all aspects of an enquiry.

  • Pays attention to detail to avoid misinterpretation.

  • Aims to maintain a 24 hour quotation response.

  • Follow-up enquiries appropriately.


CUSTOMER CARE:

  • Will demonstrate the highest levels of Customer Care.

  • Will provide customer satisfaction through meeting their needs.

  • Is positive, precise & polite when handling telephone calls.

  • Demonstrates adaptability & flexibility in meeting needs & requests.

  • Actively looks to maintain & build upon existing & new relationships.

  • Identifies when & how to exceed customer expectations.

  • Makes constructive suggestions for service improvements.

  • Gives feedback about changes in customer requirements & levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Looks for workable alternatives when resources or constraints limit what can be delivered.

  • Will be of a friendly, helpful & polite disposition.

  • Will meet customers both on and off site when required.
